Backstory

Back in the day, I was known as Yamaro in the anime wallpaper community.

I started by searching for nice pictures for my desktop, but then I suddenly wanted to create my own. My first attempts were not great and are now lost to time, but some of them can still be found on the internet. Initially, I posted my wallpapers on a Ukrainian Facebook-like website and on TheOtaku. Then, a friend recommended that I share them on Animepaper. I gave it a try, but my wallpaper was rejected for several reasons.

That moment marked the beginning of my journey. I focused on revising, self-improvement, and studying. I discovered new techniques and styles and found inspiration from fantastic artists on Animepaper and Minitokyo. I began sharing my works with the community there.

  • My favorite place has greatly improved my skills. Animepaper pushed my abilities to new heights, thanks to talented artists and diligent moderators. Before the portal closed, I ranked among the top 10 creators.

  • Minitokyo served as a platform for me to share what was limited on Animepaper, while also broadening the audience for my work. Minitokyo is still active, and my profile there remains intact.

  • TheOtaku was the first international platform I used to share my work. The requirements were less challenging, allowing me to learn and improve gradually. I no longer have a profile there.
